I ordered an awsome diaper cover and mini-diaper set from Artistry Baby, and wanted to show it off!! The fit is AMAZING, and I love love love the print that's used! This will be Kenna's birthday diaper!

I can't believe she'll be one soon!!!!

Sew-n-show

I've been this past week with a few projects, so I thought I would share them.

First, a dress for a friend's lil' girl:
Dress without flower

Second, a diaper swap I signed up for on a message board I'm on:

2 Fattycakes Medium pockets. Brown paisley is PUL outer, pink velour inner, with butterfly snaps! Pink one is knit outter, hidden PUL, and pink minkee inner--also butterfly snaps!

I also made a matching swing dress:

I also made another ice cream dress for another friend--but since it's exactly the same as the first--I won't post pics!

Now I just need to get crankin' on finishing up Kenna's birthday presents! I also ordered a mermaid doll kit from Dancing Rain Dolls that I would like to get started on!

This weekend, my goal is to organize my entry way, and the upstairs' closets though--so I'll have to put my sewing on hold for a couple days!

Ice cream dress

I was browsing through an online site the other day called Kellys Clothes, when I came across an awesome little ice cream collection that they had. The prices were way too high for me though, so I thought, "Hey--I could make that!" And my quest began!

Here was my "inspiration," for lack of a better word!
My first attempt was OK--but not *exactly* what I wanted. It was WAY too long, and my applique was a tad large. Kenna still looked cute in it though!

Onward to second attempt! And I think I got it!! I finished last night while Kenna was sleeping, so I'll have to try it on today when she wakes up! It should fit much better this time!

Here's a not-so-action-ey shot!

Birthday fun!

Gearing up for Kenna's first birthday!! I can't believe how time flies! So far, I've accomplished her dress, which still needs hemming, but I couldn't resist getting a picture of her in it! Second picture is part of her birthday present. It's a "bagsket" following this tutorial. I plan on making her some soft fabric shape blocks to go with it! And lastly, some polymer clay cupcakes! These will become party favors--we only have little girls coming, so these will become lil' cupcake necklaces! Oh, and in case you couldn't tell--her theme is cupcakes!!!
