Fabric Box

I made a quick lil' fabric box following this fun tutorial. Easy to follow tut, and a very easy little project--maybe took 1/2 hour start to finish--and that included a nursing, and a diaper change!! LOL!!

I'm going to make a few more of these for the kids' rooms!

Stuffies!

PhotobucketLast weekend, I went shopping and found this totally amazing book called, "Cute Dolls" by Aranzi Aronzo. It's filled with loads of patterns for lil' cute stuffies. I'm in love with this book!! I made a couple last week, and they turned out pretty good!! They were fun and easy to make--only taking about an hour a piece! The kids adore them! I definetly see lots of stuffies in my future!!

Here's a pic!

Spring must be coming early this year...

Because I've got BABY FEVER!! When I was pregnant w/ McKenna, I swore this would be our last. I even said that after she was born! Now here we are, 10 months later, and I'm definetly considering another! I have no idea why it's hitting me so hard all of a sudden. Maybe b/c Kenna will be ONE in two months, maybe b/c everyone I know in real life is preggo (my lil bro, my BFF, every single woman I see at Wal-mart or the grocery store!), or maybe b/c many mama's on my due date club are expecting again as well. Something about seeing those pictures of positive pregnancy tests is so beautiful!

Physically, I know my body can handle pregnancy again. Emotionally--got that too. Financially?? Well, there's the problem. That and the fact that hubby's not really on board. He swore up and down this would be our last, and in the beginning, I totally agreed. Truth is, if I could, I would have 5 or 6 kids. I love babies, I love toddlers, I love my children. I know I'm a good mom, I just wish money didn't have to be a factor. A dollar only goes so far....

But oh how I want my big beautiful pregnant belly back!!! I love having that little miracle inside of me. It's like a secret you can't wait to share w/ the world.

But for now I'm stuck wishing and hoping. Maybe someday. I'm young still, so I have plenty of time..it's just the waiting part that is hard!!

New Year's Goals

I thought I would take some time this morning to think about what I wanted to accomplish over the next year.

1. Lose the baby weight!

2. Spend more quality time with the kids--I know I spend all day with them, but I want to make more use of the time--more learning, more focus.

3. Eat out less. Not that we out A LOT--but we do have pizza almost once a week, and sometimes we are eating out 2-3 times a week. I need to manage my time better, and cook more!

4. Become a better wife.

5. Start a vacation fund. Hubby and I ARE going to Hawaii in Dec. of 2009. It will be our 5 year anniversary, and since we never got a honeymoon--this is our time. We need to start saving now though!

6. Make new friends. Real life friends. Since becoming a stay at home mom, it's been easier to meet people online, and I've avoiding meeting new people in my real life. We lived in this town for 3 years, and I hardly know anyone. I need to work on becoming part of the community.

7. Go to church more. Since having the kids, we've been neglecting church, and each year it gets worse and worse. With Kenna almost being one now, there's no reason we can't start going more regularly now.

Those are the big ones--and the most realistic!! The one I could add on there, would be move--but since I'm not the one working right now, it can't really be my goal.
