#1--Katie J. Jumper from Fishsticks Designs. This pattern was just released today, and it's a great one! I finished one, and am close to completing a second one! This pattern has many design options, including reversible. I chose the elasticised strap option, and did not make it reversible this time. The fabrics are Kona solids, and a super cute kitten print I found at Wal-mart. I used my Silhouette SD cutting machine and heat transfer vinyl to make the cute design on the bodice--I'm so happy with how this turned out! The kitten graphic was a freebie from MyGrafico, and was a bit of challenge to turn into a cut file, but was well worth the time. Here are a few pics:
#2 is also a Fishsticks Designs Pattern--The Rockin' the Raglan tee. Jackson picked out a very busy Cars print the other day while we were fabric shopping. It was a medium-large print (each car is 3"-4" wide), and I really didn't know what I was going to do with it. Jack insisted he wanted a shirt, so this is what I came up with. I used black and gray interlock, and then appliqued three of the Cars from the print going down the side. To do the appliques I used my standard method--heat-n-bond sewable on the back of the applique, iron it down, and then stitch 1/8" around entire design. I think it turned out great, and best of all, so does Jack! No modeling pics yet, as he is a typical three-year old boy and can't sit still long enough to get a pic! Soon, I promise!
That's it for today, but I'll have more to share soon! I'm almost finished with Cecelia's christening gown, and another Katie J. Jumper!
Linking up to these fabulous parties!
